Case Summary
The accused persons were charged with committing a war crime in that they were concerned in the killing of nine Burmese civilians. The victims had attempted to escape from the islands and were captured. Three of the accused held a 'Military Law-Breakers Trial Meeting', however none of the civilians were allowed to attend or make representations at the trial. The victims were sentenced to death and were executed by bayonetting.

There seems to have been some attempt at having a proper trial before the sentence was carried out (the Military Law-Breakers Trial) but this was argued at trial to be ultimately a sham as none of the victims were allowed to make representations at the trial.
